Need "How-to" for blog entries and forum use.

Hello All,
I've been sweeping off and on for about 18 months. I've been dabbling a bit with blog contests just for something different and maybe better odds, but I really don't know what I'm doing. I'm especially confused about Google Plus, and how I am somehow logged into it on blog pages without having specifically logged in anywhere.

Also, I am very bad at using forums, so I don't post much, which then keeps me bad at learning how to use forums!! I apologize if this should be posted elsewhere. I tried a couple of searches like "blog how-to" or "entering blog contests", but only seem to turn up very specific blog questions or comments and I need the basics like what is an RSS feed, what is Google Plus, how does rafflecopter work? Tips and tricks for blog contests? Maybe also general forum how-tos so I don't drive you all nuts asking stuff that I could find on my own.

Hi z,
Thank you for the link--it helps. I like that blog as well. I'm still confused about rafflecopter--sometimes it has me logged in and sometimes not, but I don't know where it is getting my log in info. Is it somehow pulling it from google (my gmail account)?
