My husband had a major fail taking a phone message for me. Someone called Friday asking to speak to me to confirm me as the winner of a sweeps I entered in Dec. He took her name and number for me to call her back, but he failed to ask what the prize was, and can't remember the name of the company she was calling from (he thought it was a prize distribution company). He tried to email me at work so I could call her back on Friday, but didn't realize the phone call knocked the internet out, so the message never sent. I suppose it was lucky he was home to take the call, but now I have to wait until Monday to call her back and find out. Hope he never tries to get a job as a secretary.

Good luck but don't get your hopes up too much. I've been called for wins as small as a Wizard of Oz DVD. But I've also received some big ones that way. Hope you get the latter!

And as a word of caution make sure this is not a scam. Don't give out any credit card information or other data that seems suspicious!

Try doing an internet search on the name and number. Sometimes you can get lucky and find which company the caller is from. Good Luck and congrats!

For those following this thread & who missed it:

I posted a few days ago about missing a call from someone who wanted to confirm me as a winner of a sweeps, but I wasn't sure what the prize was. I was able to call her back on Monday and she confirmed me as the Grand Prize winner of the Holiday Shopping Sweepstakes from Hallmark and Comcast. It is a $1000 AM EX gift card. She overnighted me the affidavit, which I already sent back. They were supposed to pick the winner 7 weeks ago, so I guess they are kinda slow on these things sometimes. It was a daily sweeps. Big thanks to SA, the sponsors, and all of you who were rooting for me to win big after I first posted.
