I just had to turn down a local grand prize of a trip to the Teen Choice Awards in LA this weekend (ARV of $1,750). We had already made some plans with family members that would have created too many bad feelings in canceling over the thrill of accepting the prize. At church yesterday I prayed to win a nice prize. God has a way of answering prayers in a way you don't expect!

Seems like they would have given you more notice with a prize that required travel. So sorry you had to turn it down. I hope there are many more large wins on the horizon for you. I had to turn down a trip a few months back for a trip to Atlanta and tickets to a big country concert. Two months later I won a 3 day trip to Anna Maria Island on the beach. We are going and are so excited. Hang in there!

Sorry they contacted you so later. Makes it hard to accept a prize when they do that. Hope you get another nice win real soon.

lol pszychojoe - my note to self? Be more proactive!

Local promos tend to have short entry/accept/redeem windows, so I'd either skip them OR note them on my calendar to avoid possible future conflicts.
