You know how you feel like the odds of actually winning something are so small, it will never happen? I was reminded last week of how you can still be "chosen" when I was at a minor league baseball game, with hundreds of people in the stands, and the person who took a line drive to the chest from a foul ball was ME. I was behind the third base, about 8 rows up. I "won" an ambulance ride and trip to the ER! Out of all those people, that ball came to me like it was magnetized. I still can't get over it, but I'm so thankful I wasn't hit in the head (or a kid wasn't hit). So don't think you can't be chosen! Even if the odds are against you, somebody wins.
Ironically, I wasn't even in my assigned seat! LOL
PS. I am okay but I have a baseball-sized bruise right below my collarbone
PPS. Now I need to win a big cash prize to cover some of this medical

I had a friend who died from a blow to the chest from an ATV accident. The accident caused his heart to stop. By the time people reached him and tried CPR it was too late. I know the medical expenses are a burden, but at least you can count your blessings that you're still alive.
