My husband enters less than a dozen contests a day (I have a folder in the toolbar where I put ones I think will interest him).

He just sent me this IM:

Just received this email:

Congratulations! You have been selected to receive a prize by registering in the Zero In 2 Win Promotion, administered by ePrize.

You have won a Trip for 2 to a 2009 Movie Premiere. Trip package includes round-trip air transportation for 2 to the location where the premiere referred to above takes place (the "Destination City"); 2 nights' accommodations at a hotel in the Destination City; 2 tickets to a Columbia Pictures or Screen Gems movie premiere taking place in 2009; and $500 in spending money. Please see the Official Rules for further prize details and eligibility requirements. This prize has an approximate retail value of $4,000.

I had put this instant contest in his folder mainly because I thought he'd enjoy the "Coke Sweepstakes zero zero seven" wordplay. This is the first time either one of us won a grand prize on an instant - and actually it's the biggest prize we have won.

If anyone can PM me info on how to price a trip and get the company to correct the 1099 to FMV, we would greatly appreciate the advice!

Here is the sweep:

Great win for you and hubby.... a huge congrats to you both

congrats, great win!

I've won trips before, and they took care of everything and worked with me really well. They sent me the 1099 for taxes, so it all gets done really well.

congrats again!

That's great! Congratulations to him! My husband refuses to enter contests in general, but every once in a while I convince him. Maybe one day he'll win, too!

Have a fantastic time!

Men always score great wins!!!!

Yes, he also won our plane tickets to France. I win nice prizes, but only he wins trips! And with only about 5 minutes a day entering, too - amazing!

He later sent me the IM: "Winnin' stuff is easy!" Funny man I've got there - think I'll keep him for another 22 years. (Our 22nd anniversary is Sat, which is also our 44th birthdays. Yes, both of us!)

Congrats on the great win. What ever the price of the prize is will be the amount you pay in taxes. I won a trip two years ago around this time I went to NY City, stayed at the Westin on Broadway, won two tickets for the 2006 Jingle Ball, met Nick Lachey, one a digital camera with swarvoski crystals. Price was $5500.00 it did not matter that the tickets may have been cheaper that is what we had to pay. With what I earn a year the trip cost me $1000.00 less in my tax return. Hope that helps.
