PRIZE. One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded, consisting of: (a) round-trip coach air transportation for two (2) to one of the following airports (depending on cost/availability) San Francisco, Sacramento or Oakland airports (the "Destination"), from a major commercial airport in the continental United States, nearest to winner‟s primary residence, as determined by Sponsor, on or about April 5 – 8, 2013; (b) one (1) hotel accommodation for three nights (one double occupancy room and room tax only) at the Napa River Inn; (c) Special Winner Gift Bags with promotional items from participating labels and sponsors; (d) transportation to and from Live In The Vineyard events; (e) passes for two (2) to a welcome cocktail reception and wine tasting at the Westin Verasa Napa; (f) Two (2) passes to all Live In the Vineyard concerts; and (g) a private tour and passport tasting at Sutter Home Winery w/ New Kids on the Block, for two (2). (The events to which the prize relates in (e)-(g) above are defined herein as “Events”.) Total Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $3,000.00


i am so incredibly sad about this! we are moving that weekend (already booked and signed), and even then, we have two babies and i don't think we could find childcare for three nights on such short notice. can't believe i won though! it would have been lovely.
 
Congrats! Awesome win. I won a Vegas trip last October and we couldn't go. One reason was our 2 year old. But don't give up. You might win something even greter soon. In December I did...keep sweeping! Congrats again!
 
Are you allowed to give the trip away? It's a wonderful win and it would be sad if someone you cared about couldn't take the trip.
 
What happens to the prize if one cannot use it...do they surrender and it is re-awarded by company?

Can the winner transfer it to anyone?

Congratulations on your trip win. It's too bad life gets in the way sometimes. If I was in your shoes, I would contact the sponsor, thank them, and let them know about your predicament. Who knows, maybe they might be in a position to extend the trip timeline or maybe even offer you a cash settlement in lieu of the trip. It's worth a try. Good luck if you take my advice. Don't give up; you never know what's around the corner.
 
thanks everyone! in the rules it states that the trip can't be transferred and will be passed on to the next person they randomly choose so there is no monetary option either. but it's totally fine, hopefully the next person can accept the trip and maybe my name will get pulled for another one down the line:) it would have been great though!
 
Congrats and sorry you can't go! My second trip win was like that - ended up being a weekend with a ton of conflicts. Since then, I have been very selective about entering travel sweeps with a fixed date of travel. I have been lucky to win 5 trips since, 4 of which have been "open-ended" and the one that wasn't fit well and we were able to go.

You will win another one!
 
Yes, I know how you feel...I once won a trip years ago and unable to go. But since then I've won some wonderful things...so keep your chin up and keep sweeping.
 
wow, what a great win. i've been trying to win a trip to "Live @ the vineyard" so i can see New Kids on The Block - no i'm not joking.
 
:) Congratulations on getting the win. I always check to see if there are certain dates involved and if they conflict with anything else I have going on. I won 3 great trips last year and was able to decide when I wanted to take them. At least this sponsor will select another winner instead of the whole sweepstakes being a waste of time for everyone.

i do the same! but we just found out we had to move a couple of weeks ago and i'm pretty sure i had already entered by then...so not a lot to do about it. oh well!
 
I always wondered if anyone ever wins from those Sirius XM sweeps. I entered all of them and have been a subscriber for many years but to my knowledge, you are the first potential winner. I feel so bad for you not be able to take the trip at least it gives me hope for future sweeps. WTG

Oh darn, you do everything right, and life throws you a curve ball!!!

BUT... now you KNOW you can win BIG, so it is *much* likelier that you WILL win big again!!! :cool:
