My Big Green Egg was cracked and broken!

I received the rest of my Big Green Egg yesterday and when I opened the box it was cracked and broken. I called the distributor and they said they've received several calls from this happening. Whoever was packaging them didn't do a good enough job. I should get a replacement, I'm hoping. Just thought I'd let all of you who won one know that it could happen when they receive theirs. Good luck everyone! :)
 
wow that sucks. But good they already know about it so it shouldn't be you having to fight with them to give you a working one.

So they shipped the actual egg in separate shipments or the first shipment was just the accessories?

I'm still waiting for all mine :)
 
Also curious how big/heavy the box is...from what I could find it looks like it's almost 100 pounds! Is that true?
 
Yes they ship the accessories first, and then a week later you get your Big Green Egg. That thing is 110lb pounds! Be careful when you receive yours. Hopefully they will have the packing problem solved by then. Good luck everyone :D
