Multiple entries to single entry sweeps

I am new to sweeping and do not have the best system for keeping up with my sweeps. I have found myself mistakenly entering twice on a few sweeps. I have gotten the advisory that multiple entries from the same household will be disqualified. Does this mean my initial entry is disqualified or just the second one?
Thanks for any information.

As I understand it they allow you the one entry and all the others are sorted out and flushed by some computer program they use. So you're not DQ'd entirely, you just get one entry counted. Hopefully the smarter people here will explain this better :sunny:

Most times you will not disqualify yourself, although, some sweeps specifically state if you try to enter more than once, you will be dq'd.

The best way to keep yourself from re-entering is to make use of the SA sweepscheck system. When you enter the sweep, check the little box to the right. At the bottom of the page click save my sweepstakes. Then, when you see the sweep again, if the box is checked, skip right over it. (For one time sweeps only!)

Hope that helps.

There's a lot of histrionics from sweepers and at other sweeps sites warning you about the double-entry thing, but it's pretty much overstated. Most sites will simply tell you that you already entered, and eliminate the additional entry. Once in a while you encounter a site that states you'll be disqualified if you enter more than once, but this is rare. It's usually a cranky small site owner that's running a giveaway a bit less professionally than a judging agency would, and I wouldn't give it too much importance. I have been in this game since 2002, won 5 trips, cash and loads of prizes, so I know a li'l sumthin'.
