The form asked for my social security # but im not sure if I should give it to them should I?
 
If I were you, I'd try to locate the sponsor of the sweepstakes and maybe they have an 800 telephone number so you can find out if the sweep is legitimate in which case it might be okay to send them your SSN. :scratch: Do you really need eyelashes versus having your identity stolen? :nono:
 
If the prize is under $600 then your ss# shouldn't be required. I'd send in the form excluding your ss# or call the sponsor to make sure everything is legitimate. Congratulations :)
 
I wouldn't, I wouldn't see why they would need your social security number. I mean if you win a car or something then I could see them needed a dirvers license number, but not SS#
 
I had an email before saying I was the winner of a contest and they wanted my ssn and all of this other junk. When i tried to email them I was unable to so I assumed it was a scam. The only prize I had to give a SSN for was when I won a trip and the info came by fedex.
