Magazine contests

The thing I hate about these magazine contests, is you have to be really careful you don't subscribe to them.

I got an email last night that said I subscribed to Good housekeeping.

I went to look at the contest, and when we normally unclick to not subscribe. This one you have to click to not subscribe.

Well I will have to go through the trouble of cancelling the dumb subscription ughhh. These are getting trickier.

 I certainly agree with you on that one! Have had to unsubscribe a few times. At least it isn't a problem to cancel.

i make sure what im checking and unchecking. I've signed up for a couple free samples in the past and ended up having random magazines, along with bills in my mail box. To add to the hassle, it wasnt even mags i liked. One was about birds, and one was about woodworking.

I've had a difficult time with this. I've mailed back the invoice and written CANCEL on it and the very next month I'm being billed again and again. I'm not entering these any more.

I have had the same problem. Got a book from Readers Digest, even though I called and cancelled.
Has anyone ever won any of the magazine contests? Some of them seem to go on forever. I am wondering is I am wasting my time.

That is a really good question! I am always worried that I am going to accidentally subscribe to something! I have heard people say they have won from Quick and Simple, Redbook, and Family Circle. Not me personally, though! I am curious to see what others know about this.

These are annoying. I accidentally subscribed to 2 magazines so far but when the bill came, I wrote please cancel, subscribed by accident and mailed it back and it was not a problem. Of course it cost me a stamp though!
