I was notified that I won the runner up prize for Maaco's New Year New Car Sweepstakes about February 5th. The grand prize was $1,000 towards a paint job. My prize was a car care kit and $100 gift card.

Well, that didn't happen. I sent them my affidavit and they said they would notify me when it shipped. Four weeks after my notification I sent an email to the place I sent the affidavit with no response. I then waited a week and sent an email to the webmaster at their parent company that the email came from (mystic.com). They spent a couple weeks figuring out that Maaco wasn't the same as Meineke and then referred me to another person who had no clue.

Yesterday I got my car care kit that was probably worth $15, but no $100 gift card.

These people are very sad. Don't bother entering their contests again. Way too much work for absolutely nothing. If they send me a 1099 for anything I'm gonna take a trip to their HQ. There will be a discussion.:(

Sponsors will either quickly respond to you on the post or send you a message to try to fix any issues *much* faster than using their contact us form or via email

It took me over a year and numerous emails to get a stinkin cookbook from Kikkoman. I finally wrote to Kikkoman headquarters and got it in a week.
 
If your prize was $100 gift card too, they should honor your prize win, I'd think.
Hope the experience w/ winning this gets better. CONGRATULATIONS!!
Oh yeah, when I had to track down gift cards I never rec'd I just contacted
them directly thru Facebook private message, and it worked!
