M & M contest question

For those of you that have been playing the M & M contest, they aren't offering anymore $6 visa codes, so how does the cable cash work? Does it put $6 towards your cable bill ? Or does it give you $6 credit towards a movie? Thanks

Hi thumbelina,

Did you check comments under the sweeps listing? There are 25 comments, but I'm not sure if any directly answers your specific question. Hope so!

From comments, looks like they changed it on the 11th - katron posted: Won 7 times Posted: Fri Jul 11, 2014 11:34 PM katron Used 4 on Amazon for gift certificates sent to myself - no problem. One MasterCard number can't get to work at all. But *** today I tried to redeem 2 codes and no longer get an option other than to apply to cable bill. *** So I applied both and see if I actually get a credit. Hmmm Think they changed it?

Also, when you type in the gift card number, use only numbers (no letters, no spaces, no hyphens "-"). The instructions in my other post were for billing address...worked for me twice (I redeemed both winning codes before the Mars website removed the option to get the gift card). Since then I have redeemed 2 more winning codes toward the cable bill. We shall see if that works in about a month when I get the next bill.

Hi there -

I was told that they had run out of the MC cards, so now they are only offering the $6 credit. I have applied a bunch to my cable bill, and am waiting to see if it works. It does ask you to give 2-3 billing cycles to see if applied, however.

I'm quite interested to see if it works as well. My wife and I have been entering daily and have won several credits combined. If it is all true, we ought to have a nice low cable bill in a couple of months. :)

I was wondering how everyone else is doing on this sweeps. I've played a total of 10 times and won $6 toward cable bill 8 times. Is anyone else getting a win that often or that high a percentage of entries? It's insane! I'm going to have a zero cable bill one month. Sad to say, I have avoided IW because I thought they were too hard. If I'd started entering this one when it was first posted, Wowzer!

That's pretty close to my wife and I, up to 25 total combined. 3 of those were Mastercards prior to them changing to cable only credits. I'm looking forward to seeing the credits as we'll get close to a month free ourselves (cable and internet bundle).

Edit: I checked our account and as of Friday, 6 of the credits have already posted to our account ($36)!

Still another little bit to go on the contest, hopefully more our way and for everyone else as well!

This instant win games has a pretty high win rate because of the sheer number of prizes..I've won more times than I can count. I would also guess that a lot of people stopped entering once they stopped letting you turn the win into a gc. Also keep in mind that not all cable companies are participating and the rules say:"If winner’s cable/satellite provider is not participating, TPG Rewards, Inc. will provide alternative arrangements." Its not really clear what the alternative arrangements are though.

Plus it's a TEXT to win, and a good many of us either don't have a cell, or haven't {cough cough} grokked texting! :p

I use AT&T U-Verse which isn't listed as participating, but was listed in the drop-down list. They showed up on my account as check payments.
