Luckymag.com - Don't enter if you're from FLORIDA!!!!

OK Big lesson learned here: Always read the rules of the sweeps your entering. I know I've read that many times and most of the time I do but I have been entering ALL of the luckymag.com daily giveaways religiously and for some reason I clicked on the rules and come to find out they are all (I think) void in Florida! Anyone know why this is? My take is when you enter your state, why is it even an option to be selected if it's voided in that state? I'm still new to sweeping and still learning the ropes!

I'm also from Florida so I'm just as disgusted as you! A while back I asked the same question on thisforum and another member tried to explain it to me...something about bonding. I'm sorry I can't explain it any better. There are so many sweeps to enter with Lucky magazine...just doesn't seem fair....

try living in Cali where u can't enter ANY alcohol sweeps....... it stinks because they always seem to give away good prizes and lots of them..... :cussing:

Why alcohol sweepstakes are prohibited in California:

Why are some sweepstakes void in Florida, New York, and Rhode Island which is basically a hassle for sponsors:

New York and Florida require sponsors to bond and register consumer sweepstakes and contests where the combined value of prizes exceeds $5,000. Rhode Island also has a registration requirement (no bond), but only for games sponsored by retailers.

that would really really stink, those and cigs sweeps are my fav. because so many great prizes. I send good fairy dust to you to win a great prize in cali.
 
I'm in Florida too. The Lucky Mag have always frustrated me because they offer alot of prizes and I can't even try. Under the restrictions (on the SA page) they put (exc FL). Luckily (no pun intended) I noticed that early on but it's still frustrating!
