spend entering sweeps???
Stopping, taking a break to run errands, etc.....
then returning to the computer later that day checking your email first, then deleting the junkmail u have received while running errands, etc. , then checking the Winner's circle here on SA, then feel bad it's not u, feeling alittle envy of the others winning, then start entering more sweepstakes in hope that some day u will win.

i spend a total of 6 to 7 hours a day

how about u? :)

I usually sweep at night when everyone goes to bed (late night/early morning hours) and then some during the day while they are at school or work. I also don't enter my dailies everyday but, I try to do my instants daily.

Good luck to you.

I try to limit myself to four hours per day; a couple of hours in the morning and a couple in the afternoon. However, if I have a slow day at work (I work for myself at home – actually 3 different part-time jobs), and it is not gorgeous outside (I live in San Diego County) and I am not going NASCAR racing with my son . . . . . then I might do more.

When I started sweeping, it was like a full-time eight hour day, but life just keep getting in the way. Then I would get irritated if I did not get all the “work” done. I had to remind myself that sweeping is a hobby that sometimes pays off. Now I just have fun with it – like it is suppose to be.

I have a somewhat short attention span so it literally takes me all day to enter sweeps. It's funny...I can sit and read or clean for hours. I'll enter some of the new 1Xs, save and then go do something else, come back, check out forum, enter some more, run to the store, come back, and so on and so forth until I've entered all of the new I want. I'm seriously bad about doing my dailies and almost never do instants.

If I sit down and do it straight through with no forum visits, it takes me less than 2 hours. Not that I usually do it that way, though, but I have. I limit my entries to sweeps I would really want to win. Of course, sometimes, I still end up with prizes I sell or give away (or sometimes refuse), but that's usually because various prizes were being offered and the one I got was not something I could use.

I limit to 60 dailies (with up to 20 extra 24 hour entries that I enter every other day), 60 instants, 40 weeklies and monthlies. I also enter the expiring one entry, DVDs and CDs, usually about 2 days before they expire (but for the last day I the month, I start doing some every day after the 15th).

Also, I enter for myself only. On rare occasions, I will IM a contest link to my husband or son because the prize is just perfect for us (or one of them) and it allows one per person (not household). Or, if he's in the room and not on the laptop, I may ask my husband if he wants me to enter for him, but that's very rare.

When I started I spent way more hours at it and I burned out often, plus the extra wins I did get were usually items I didn't want.

Yeah, I left out blogs. I do those for the ones expiring in the next few days. But usually, I only enter perhaps 1 out of 10 available. Most tend to be for babies, and my baby is 19!

Yep. I do blogs as well, but only enter for those things that I want. I don't do every single one of them. 3mnkids1 has had some very good luck on the blogs. She keeps me motivated with them!

No, you aren't crazy, although I think my husband and daughter think I spend too much time on the computer. I started sweeping in August while I was home recovering from surgery. I never knew I was going to get so addicted to entering contests. I was on the computer a lot for a while. Now that I'm back to work full time, I'm trying to make myself come straight home and do "my chores" and dinner and then enter contests after. So that usually ends up being about 2-4 hours a night. The computer is actually my daughter's (a gift from her aunt and uncle). I don't have my own, so I get second dibs. Lucky for me, she is so busy with school and sports, I get to use it pretty much whenever I want (right now) (Unless she is using it for homework). I keep trying to win a computer of my own. No luck yet, but I enter every contest for a computer that comes along. Some nights I don't have time to get through my daily entries, so one day I start at A and do as many as I can and the next day I start at Z and so every other day I usually get an entry in on each one. I also only enter contests for prizes that I really care about winning. But it's fun and I enjoy it. It beats watching what is on tv most nights. Have fun!

I spend around three hours per day doing 700+ daily's and about another hour or hour and a half going through and entering the newly posted sweepstakes.

1-2 hours a night, max, during the week. Up to 3-4 a day on the weekends. I don't have the stamina or attention span than I did before.

When I won my big grand prize, however, it was 3-4 a day weekdays, and probably 6-7 on weekends. I won much more then, too, so the additional time spent can pay off.

:wave:Hey Neighbor! Don't forget to check out Southern Sizzler's buffet

I usually sweep and do surveys-well, most of my waking hours. Whenever I am not doing my physical therapy or watching videos, I am sweeping.

Is that some sort of service that is supposed to enter stuff for you? Those are supposed to get you disqualified. Its much better to use Roboform and do it yourself. Robo really speeds up the entry process :)

I do about 2-3 hours a day. One hour during my 10 month old's afternoon nap and about two after he goes to bed. Some days I do way less as I don't have the energy and basically just don't feel like it (would rather hit the hay with a good book). I have only been doing this a couple of months and so far have won some neat stuff. I just want to keep it fun. :)
