Just a reminder for all SWEEPERS to keep in mind when PRIZES look tempting

:sunny: Thanks for posting that list of reminders! It is a great list for all sweepers to keep in mind when entering.

Myself & another sweeper just had this convo earlier to where or who originally wrote the piece... The FIRST time I saw it was on a site called AMERICAN sweepers then it appeared on a YAHOO sweep site then I saw it on a TALKCITY chat site for sweepers then I saw it on Sandies site. I told her earlier this afternoone I was useing it and she said no problem by emails. Since quite a few sweepers seem to be having a wee bit of troubles and it is covering several subjects that appeared the last few months. AND yes I ALSO love ABOUT.COM sweeping/CONTESTS... Its been my home before I came to SA...She posts some OUTSTANDING fun sweeps. Shes been a FUN friend for several years & I have entered many o many o many of her sweeps she lists. Hello, Hunny Gunny. I'm so glad to hear that my article helped you, and
I hope your friends are able to get things sorted out so that they can
start avoiding the dreaded DQ and winning sweepstakes!

Take care,

Sandra

Great thread!! My most recent form entry via snail-mail almost got scrapped because it said in teeny tiny letter s "black ink only" I missed it and didn't notice it until afterI had everything filled out! Luckily, I caught it before mailing out and just used a black ink pen over the blue ink. It was so perfect, you couldn't even tell! Are sweeps that uptight with such small details such as what color ink is used? Just curious... :)

When it comes to the black ink thing, if its a high ticket entry they are going to scan and digitize the winning entry for their records, and want it to scan clearly. Some blue inks just don't scan very well. :)

Do they automatically disqualify entrants that don't use black ink?

:crazytongue: I hate to be the QUEEN of rules this month ( I know its BORING) but for all you newbies make sure not ONLY black ink but you MUST print not CURSIVE. Envelopes PRINT ... Info inside PRINT... Most of them require it ... Ive been noticing alot of PRINT a fun LABEL for your ENVELOPE... My EXPERIENCE has been a SPONSER wants you to WRITE it by HAND . No LABELS unless it is clear in the rules . Of course the debate over rather to DECORATE your envelope... Some believe in it, Some do not. Ive been watching to who wins with it decor and those who dont... It seems to split down the middle on BOTH winning. Ps for all you girls going to the conventions or just want POSTCARDS for sweeps another SITE ( covering KENS eyes) is selling really funny POSTCARDS with funny SWEEPS lingo on them. Im sure ONE of our talented girls or guys will figure this OUT soon & start PRINTING them out to sell to US...We dont dont have to CROSS the border..

If its in the rules to use black, they might. Or the rule might be a hold over from when they had the old scanner and they don't care now :error: Best to err on the side of caution, esp. with the price of stamps being what it is these days!
