Last night my son recieved an email on his xbox live account that he had won a prize in the weekly drawing and it was from MICRSOFTXBOX, and it looked legit but if I would have looked closer I would have realized that the gametag (as they call it) had no O in it so it wasnt from MICR"O"SOFT at all , it was from some one trying to get his info. Well out of stupidity and the fact we were so happy that he might have won, I made the mistake of sending my sons login ID and password. I know better than to do that but for some reason I did. Well this morning it was still nagging at me so I took another look at everything and luckily the person that had sent the bogus email had not been back on line since I had sent the reply so I called xbox just to be sure and thats when I found out that it wasnt from them and my son had not won anything. I had to reset his email and password and think the problem is solved but then I had to tell my son that he didnt win the xbox live points, he was unhappy but I told him that it could have been worse and because of me giving out his info he could have lost his account too. It just makes me sick that there are people out there that do this sort of thing. I will never make that mistake again of giving out that info. Please everyone that has an XBOX account or you kids do, be on the lookout for these messages and NEVER give out your password. XBOX will not ask for it. Thanks for listening.
