Is there anyone on SA right now that can translate this from French to English?

I tried phrase by phrase in Babel fish and it just doesn't translate that well.
I also searched google and posted a question on Yahoo Answers but I was hoping
someone online now might be able to help me. I have a dear friend leaving town
and I think this says just about exactly how I feel. Hope you can help!

What I found looks similar to the translations 3mnkids found. The sweet little poem seems to be the inside of a greeting card. I found it also, in French and English (it came with a "translate this page" option when I googled it).

Here's the link, and it looks correct to me. (In your post, there is a period at the end of line 2, which is unnecessary.)

Here is what I found from one other source too. I felt it was the best translation of all our efforts. It really does say a lot and it just struck a chord for me.

Take care of yourself
Because in my eyes you are the best thing there is.
