Is Instagram out of control with the action blocks, or is it just me?

Is anyone else getting blocked by IG for too much tagging or "posting to get likes" (whatever THAT means)? I'm not doing more entries than usual, and I've caught two 24-hour blocks this week alone, so I'm afraid I'm going to get much worse if it happens again. I always submit a report that I'm not violating guidelines, but there doesn't seem to be any response or recourse. I'm about ready to give up on IG contests and just stick to non-social media sweeps. AAAUUUGGGHH, and just in time for the pre-holiday giveaways
 
Yep! Same...I'm on my third comment/tagging ban. I also submitted reports but no answer. It so frustrating to have this happen during all the Holiday giveaways. I heard if it happens 3X it can lead to a permanent comment ban. I guess I'll find out soon enough.
 
So sorry to hear! I just started Instagram this year. I've never been a fan of the social media stuff, but the sweeps offered just keep getting better. I hadn't heard you can get banned for too many likes. Thanks for the warning!
 
AHHH! Just after writing above, I got put in a timeout for liking too many pages on Instagram. Frustrating!
 
i've never heard anything abt a permanent comment ban...I usually get the notice that my spam comment will be removed even on a non-giveaway post like i'm complimenting someone's outfit or video. I always suggest to make a backup account just in case you end up in instagram jail, that way you will still be able to enter giveaways.
 
First I got a message I had reach my maximum limit of accounts followed (7,500). When that happened with Twitter and Facebook I just opened a new account. So I did the same with Instagram, and with the new account I cannot like or follow more than maybe 20 a day max. I have sent messages to support but never got an answer. Now I am getting messages in both accounts from SA friends just saying "Update your APP"over and over again.... So what I do now is follow as many as I can in my new account until I get blocked from following new accounts, I bounce back to the old account and delete accounts and add.
 
I'm getting the same "Update your App" messages from all of my Instagram friends. For some reason, the mentions are coming to me that way. I don't have the Instagram app, so I can't see the messages. Very frustrating. I've had zero luck on Instagram, so I'm not sure I will continue entering these.
 
Has anyone come up with a solution to this? I get restricted from commenting all the time now. I used to be able to enter so much now without getting restricted!
 
Yeah, Instagram's action blocks are getting out of hand. It's frustrating when you're just trying to participate without breaking any rules.
