I'm holding on to that penny!

This morning I was out walking my dog. I saw two worn pennies on the ground. I looked at them and noticed one was head side up; the other was tail side up. Recalling a Las Vegas learned superstition I picked up the heads side up penny and left the other. When I returned home I found I had just been selected as the Grand Prize Winner of the Tasting Table 2014 Napa Spa Getaway Sweepstakes. The package includes three nights at the Auberge du Soleil hotel ($1,000+ per night) airfare and some other goodies. ARV of $6,900!! Thank you penny!!

And thanks to SA! Good luck all!

Congratulation on your great win. I have followed that superstition all my life..."see a penny, pick it up, all the day you'll have good luck." My husband and I have picked up all coins we have seen for years. Five years ago, we put them in wrappers and took them to the bank for $276.00! Enjoy that fantastic trip and keep picking up those coins!
 
congrats! wow that's really cool- I never knew of that particular penny superstition (about only taking the *heads side up* one) I always had heard "find a penny, pick it up and all day long you'll have good luck" huh maybe thats why it really hasn't worked anything for me yet lol may your good luck continue !
