I'm a newbie with questions

Hi everyone,

I started sweeping about 5 weeks ago (really more focused the past 2 weeks - lost power due to Hurricane Sandy).

My first question is how to pick the sweeps. Many posts say to only sign up for the prizes you want to win (because I'll be paying taxes), but I want to enter for prizes that I don't like but may be able to sell. Is this a good idea?

About how many hours a day do you think it necessary in order to be mildly successful?

And how do those auto fill programs work? I believe one is Robo something and I believe I can find a link on this site. Is it Apple compatible and more importantly, is it acceptable? I see some rules state you can't use an auto fill program to enter a sweeps. So with that being said, are these auto fill programs worth the money?

Thank you everyone. And good luck.

 Salsa welcome to SA and the sweepstakes hobby addiction.

On entering sweeps to sell prizes there are several things to look at. Can you sell the items easily and for an amount that makes it worth your extra time? Do you live in an area where do this often may lead to extra taxes or fees as a business.

Since there are so many sweeps out there why waste time on sweep wins you don't want.
If you do this for any amount of time you will win things you don't want. Start out entering for things you can use and you have time left over then enter for the items you would sell.

I like to look at sweeps from the bottom up when looking at prizes.

Spend the time you have and don't worry if it is enough time. I win often and enter 1 to 2 hours a day. If it begins to feel like a chore you are not looking forward to you are spending to much time. Take a break or cut back.

As for the auto programs I have used the free version of Roboform for a long time with no problems.

Have fun and will look for your win posts.
