I won a Lexus from Rockport On the Road Sweepstakes

Nobody really thinks it's for real -- but then again most of my friends think ALL sweepstakes are bogus. I found out that I was the grand prize winner of a 2009 Lexus Hybrid 400x (or something like that), worth almost $46,000! It was for Rockport's On the Road sweeps. I was notified in early December via e-mail and sent in all the required affidavits within the necessary timeframe -- and received confirmation that they were reviewing and would get back to me. Still haven't heard anything. I know "fulfillment" of the prizes sometimes takes a couple of months. Is this the normal rate?

That is so nice that you won such a wonderful prize, and yes people who sweep never believe me when I tell them what I win. I had to actually show my own mother some of my bigger prizes before she believed me, nothing as big as a car even. But it does seem to take quite awhile for all the papers and such to get taken care of. congrats and have fun driving it.
 
I've only won one vehicle (an ATV, not a car) and had to go pick that up at a local dealer after some delay. Hopefully the various car winners will weigh in with their experiences.

I won a $40,000 allowance towards the purchase of a Saturn in the 2007 "Devotion to Motion" sweepstakes. I sent the affidavits in about a week after receiving them. I then heard from GM about 3 weeks later. They then set it up with my local Saturn dealer for me to test drive some cars and decide what I wanted. I then had to submit a checklist of sorts to GM detailing exactly what car I wanted and what bells and whistles I wanted included. They built the car specifically for me and I received it about 6 weeks after sending in the checklist. So it took roughly 2 months (maybe a bit longer) to get everything done.

I'm new to sweepstakes, but I know my aunt won a Cadillac a few years back and she went through the same waiting. When she was contacted she didn't think it was real because they sent a simple form letter and didn't even come by first class mail, just bulk rate. Just simply you have won a car, send us this info and we will get back to you. I don't remember how long the wait was, but a flat bed truck pulled up and unloaded it in her driveway one day, not even a second letter.

Congrats this is huge!
