I THOUGHT I had won a giveaway.

I am only posting this here so no one else here at SA wastes their time with this one.

I "won" the $100 in PrimeTime clothing giveaway on fishbowl prizes, but I don't feel like it is a true giveaway.
The site is very odd, they have some shirts on sale for a dollar, while some cost $25 or $50.
Very limited selection caused me to have to add multiples of the same item to my shopping cart to accumulate anywhere near $100. On most of their items they literally only had one or two in stock.
Seemed very fishy to me. And then I tried to check out.

When I tried to redeem the code, the site would not let me check out unless I ordered MORE than $100 in merchandise.
I read the official rules, and they do state NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
This is obviously not true since their system forces me to buy something before the code can be redeemed.


I have tried contacting the sponsor, but have not received an answer.

Maybe I am misunderstanding the nature of the giveaway.

Prizes: The winner will receive 100$ in PrimeTime clothing!! estimated retail value $100.00. Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Merchant.

Well, I have a $100 discount code i'm not going to use now.
I didn't like the stuff enough to pay real money for it.
I just thought my girls would have fun with a $100 shopping spree.

This thread/what happened to you cdf1078 is why I always double check the rules to find out if the prize is a prepaid VISA or, a gc/code/credit for use only on their site before I decide to enter
