I never win ~ discouraged :(

You will win. It just takes time and patience! I see it as part of my daily routine. I set aside an hour or more if possible, a day to do sweeps. The key is consistency. Just keep entering a little every day and soon, you will hit a prize. Here are a few things I would do if I was you:

1. Stay on top of the emails. Check them EVERY day, at least once if not more. I've missed out on some wins by not being vigilant about checking the emails. (and that goes for the spam folder, too. My sister missed the deadline on a $3600 trip to San Francisco a few years ago, because the notification went to her spam folder. She was very sad, but it was a good lesson for all of us to always check!). Expect to spend some of your time deleting, cleaning out, etc., your inbox because it will get cluttered fast.
2. Figure out what you are most interested in, then focus on that. For many years I was very haphazard about what I entered and as a result, missed out on some really good ones, and won a few things I couldn't/didn't want to, pay the ARV on. For instance, jewelry and golf stuff. I'm really not interested in either, so I generally don't enter them (because I don't want to pay the ARV on them). But I really like Hello Kitty stuff, electronics, and trips. So I focus on that. :)
3. Try to remove your emotions from doing sweeps. Try not to get too excited about any single sweeps (unless you win- then get happy!). Just see them as part of your daily routine, a fun and interesting part of your day.
4. Most of all, if you stop enjoying it, don't do it! Remember, each day that we have is precious. Our free time is precious. If something ceases to be fun, by all means, quit doing it. If you don't feel the time investment is paying off, then stop, for a while. It's ok! We all take breaks. I know I do. :)
5. Use SA as a very good resource. Everyone here is very friendly and I like the non-competitive atmosphere. We are all here to have FUN and enjoy our free time, win stuff and enjoy life. :)
6. Over the years, I have won a trip to Greece, multiple trips to Vegas, Florida, etc. I've won cash prizes, cell phones, IPads, food coupons, all sorts of things. Lots of little things and sometimes big ones. And I appreciate and am grateful for every one of them. So, keep trying ok! It will happen for you! :)

I promise you, eventually you will win. It will happen!

I never win and I sometimes think that the contests aren't real.
Would be nice to win at least once.

DONT GIVE UP. I haven't one diddly in over 1 yr. HOWEVER, I HAVE WON LOTS OF STUFF IN THE PAST. A cruise, 2 $1000 g/cs, XBOX, Satellite radio, etc. I know a lot of people who have won way more than me. It seems once the economy tanked a few yrs ago, so did my mojo. But I still spend a few hours every day entering. Hang in there... :)

I see you just joined this month! You have to give yourself some time in the game before you get discouraged.

Keep Entering and then the wins will come.

Be sure to enter at the top of any given minute for instant win sweeps as the randomly selected win time goes to the first person that plays at that time.

Watch the clock on your time and be sure to wait until it's 5:00:00, not 5:00:25....etc.

Upgrade to Plus so that you can create your own my sweeps favorites and not lose time searching for sweeps.

Check new daily for the sweeps you want to enter and add them to your my sweeps if they are daily, or instant wins.

Be sure to read the rules for one entry so that you don't disqualify yourself by entering more than the allowed entry.

Check your local state sweepstakes as the chances are better.

Include Text sweeps and check expiring sweeps and be sure to enter all those daily.

Don't rule out mail in entries. Get yourself some stamps, 3x5 cards, envelopes, and postcards and take the time to send them in for sweeps that allow that if you don't have a code by purchasing a product to enter.

Always read the latest comments as the members often share codes, good tips, and latest or new sweepstakes.

Always read the winning posts headline as many times I have been lead to enter a sweepstakes only by seeing someone else win.

Sometimes you don't even know a certain sweeps is happening unless you hear of someone else posting about it through a win. Follow their lead.

Keep a sweepstakes notebook or paper by your computer to write down and keep track of your wins, codes for easy re-entry on daily, etc.

Take time to call in for sweeps that allow a call in for code to play or instant win via phone.

Winners never quit, Quitters never win.

It can take a while to get the big wins. I'm not sure about other people but right now I have about 80 contests I enter daily and I enter about 20ish single entry sweeps on average per day. Doing this I win at least something once a month. It's usually something small I don't care about like a hat or mug but I have won three grand prizes in my first year. Xbox One X, Trip to NYC (took cash payout), Trip to California (took cash payout)

dexterlecter99 - wowsa nice GP's!!!

Question - on the trip wins did the rules state they would give cash in lieu or similar verbiage or were they just cool about giving cash instead?

I ask because I avoid trip sweeps UNLESS the rules clearly state they would give cash in lieu or similar verbiage - most trip rules *usually* say they will NOT give cash/anything in lieu or similar verbiage - like you MUST accept & go on the trip or forfeit.

I have had a dry spell in my sweepstakes for 6 years. I said if I don't win anything in the next few months I'm giving up. So I am now the potential winner in the gnome for the holidays winner. I feel like giving up if it messes up somehow. But I also feel if you don't enter how will you ever get that one big chance? A lot of people sweep now. Probably more then ever..I guess we got to be more patient lol???
