I need some help with this one...

I didn't want to put this in scams because I'm not sure if it is. My better half dialed a wrong # and got what sounded like a radio station saying he was the 15th caller and won a cruise from powerkiss 101. When I try to google this it sort of half looks legit, but 3 years of real sweepstakes has me saying this looks off a bit. Everything looks very polished and clean and fake. It sounds a lot like those guys that want to sell you a vacation package, but does anyone have any real experience with this?

I dug a little deeper and the cruise he "won" goes through Holiday cruise line. who I guess the main company that scams people with this. So yes, it is bogus, and if someone could move this into the scam section I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for moving it! There is a website and facebook page for the "radio station" and if you search them you don't come up with much other than the other "winners" Although I thought it was suspicious that a few other people said they won from dialing a wrong number. These people are starting to get good! From the looks of it they try to make you pay the port fees up front, then when you try to book they tell you it was just a deposit.

I think they try to get numbers that are close to commonly used numbers. I got one similar from mis-dialing when I called to check a credit card balance. Mine just said I won and I could tell it was a scam. His said thank you for calling Powerkiss 101, its supposed to be a radio station. You were caller #15 in our power hour and won the bahamas cruise, just enter your phone number and we will send you the information. He has won from our local radio station but he thought this was maybe a Sirius station. They send you a link to what sure looks like a radio station website.
