I have been warned!

Twice now I have seen this message popup after entering a Pazzaz contest.

WARNING: Service Usage Alert

Our service usage monitor has detected that you have used this Bravenet service repeatedly over a very short period of time. This could result in being temporarily blocked from using any Bravenet services.

Repeatedly submitting forms, refreshing service pages, or other possibly malicious behavior can result in a ban placed on users who misuse and abuse our services.

For additional assistance, visit our Help Center.

Does anyone have any idea what this is about?

:nono: Bad Bad Bad  I was warned also. I wrote to them cause it kinda irked me. Bravenet told me that if you press the button more than once in 15 secs they send out the warning. Soooo, I wrote to Pazzaz and told them about it and they said it was because they get so much spam into their sweeps. I would rather them have a code to enter to stop spam than having my hand slapped all the time.

   You two must REALLY like their contests!

That is a message sent out when they think a "denial of services" attack is possible. Are you entering so much nobody else can gain access to the site??? :crazytongue:

that is one for the books! Two really dedicated sweepers!

... what are you hoping to win there????? A cruise around the world??? A million bucks???? a 25 cents-off burrito coupon???

Well if it is a matter of submitting too fast then I guess I could do a slow count to 20 between entries, huh? I only enter two of their contests. If this nonsense keeps up, I will cut that back by two. It is just a bit annoying to be accused of wrongdoing when all you did was enter their contest. :hammer:

I also only enter 2, one for a Wii and I forget the other one. Using Roboform the entries go quick so they get entered less than 15 seconds apart.

Pasazz has put on message up explaining this. After you enter you'll see this message on your entry conf. screen: PLEASE NOTE: Due to an overwhelming amount of spam entries, we have had to place a time constraint on entries into our contests. You may still enter each contest once per day, but the system will limit your submissions into all of our contests to one every 15 minutes in an effort to combat the spam issue. If you get a warning, wait about 15 minutes and enter your next contest. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we have been getting over 10,000 fake contest entries per hour per contest. This tends to overload the server and then no one can enter any of the contests. We appreciate your patience while we deal with this situation. Wow! 10000 fake entries per hour! I'm ok with them trying to stop spam and fraudulent entries.

I wonder how they can tell which entries are fraudulent and which are not? How do you make a fraudulent entry anyway?
