I Am New to SA Sweeping

:wave: Hi all. My name is Kris and I am new to SA and am in the process of navigating this awesome site. Everyone seems so helpful and nice, it's great. Any tips for someone new? I sweep 2+ hours a day and had 2 small wins in the past 2 years. Also hit the daily # in Massachusetts in 2005 ($2 ticket came in at $4,270). So I know I have luck on my side. Hope I am posting in the right place. I enter a variety of sweeps and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and the best of luck to everyone.

P.S. Anyone read "The Secret" ? I know that it is true. Any comments? :wave:

No real advice; I'll leave that to the sweepers who have been here longer.

However, I do own a copy of The Secret, and a collection of books along the same subject. It's an old, old theory, and one that has been espoused by most religions at one time or another. I try to sit down at my computer each day with the spirit of joy, expectancy, and gratitude. I might not win as much as some people, but thirteen wins in slightly under thirteen weeks, I guess I'm doing OK.

I've been sweeping about 3 years now. First year I didn't win much. Then at the end of the year I won an XBox360 and a great 7 night stay at any Westin Hotel. The next year I won lots including 1500.00 from a local radio station. Now, my biggest win has been a 100 gift card from Publix grocery store that I entered on here.

I don't have time to enter the daily contests like I use to so now I'm just entering for items I really want or trips that I would like (several people have won great trips and posted about them on SA). I am now concentrating on the instant wins (which are getting harder and harder to win since the economy has tanked) and the one entry per person. I find those are the easiest to win and everyone who enters has the same odds of winning.

A good resource for sweeping is your local TV and radio stations. I went on Google and put in my area (Tampa) radio stations and got a list. I then went to their websites and most of them (especially if they are corporate owned) had a lot of one entry per person types of contests. I have won tickets to plays, 1500.00 cash, CD's, DVD's, and tickets to Busch Gardens and Sea World.

Hi and welcome! SA is great. Lots of friendly, helpful people, and interesting discussions on the forums.

I have not read "The Secret" but have heard about it, and think it's an interesting idea. I need to read the book though to see how it actually works.

Since starting this almost 2 years ago, I have won many cool things--the best is one I am still using now--it was a "family getaway" which was given to me in gift cards for restaurants, hotel stays, car rental, gas cards. Amazing. We have gone out to eat more than I ever could have imagined!

Welcome - I think that you will love it here; I do.

My best advice is to treat this as a hobby - enter only for thing that will thrill you to win.

I am a seasonal sweeper - My son races NASCAR and during the racing season (March - September)
I really don't have time to enter much.

Also if you like writing or photography, try those contest; I have had my best luck with those.
