Even though it is getting colder here I still have to have a fan on too sleep. Well, last night it somehow feel off the chest at the end of the bed and the front came off. I didn't know the front had come off when I went to pick it up ( It was 2:30 in the morning and pitch black)and It cut my finger. so I scream and start cussing and wake hubby up.. he ask what happen and I told him.. in between expletives of course... Its so dark I cant see a thing but I feel blood running down my hand. I of course start thinking i'm going to be on my hands and knees looking for part of my digit and run to the bathroom to see the damage.

Its cut pretty deep but its all still there. I wrap it up and go into the bedroom and hubby has fixed the fan and is snoring away... In fifteen years I have never wanted to put a pillow over his face as much as I did at that moment.

how bout a little compassion.. how bout worrying just a little bit.. that's not too much to ask is it? When we got up this morning he was acting like everything was just peachy!.. hey! look at my FINGER! so being the typical guy he ask.. "whatcha want me to do? run and get the amputation kit?"... jerk.

LOL "In fifteen years I have never wanted to put a pillow over his face as much as I did at that moment."

Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!

I feel ya Trace - if it had been me, I would have been so loud the whole neighborhood would have woken up!!!

Jimmie would have told me to shut up and bleed in the other room...not to mention not to wake him up by coming back in the bathroom... I think I could be having a heart attack and he would want me to call someone to come and take me to the hospital :crazytongue:

Oh God! My husband would have been in a panic and want to bring me to the emergency room!

Must be newly weds.  The first 8 years counts as newly weds. It was like that when I first got married. After 20 plus years I am lucky if he notices my leg is cut off .  But just let him catch a cold and the whole world had better stop and notice.
He really is a pretty good guy, but I can't let him know I think that.

What's a newlywed?LOL I'm 45--no such thing at this age. No, my husband and I have a relationship that I consider one in a million. We don't fight, argue, yell at each other, nothing; and every night we sit outside and chit chat until it's time to go to bed. We could be married 100 years, and my husband would still want to rush me to the emergency room for something like that!

That is really great. Kind of different to see now a days. It is nice to like and love the one you are with. Like I said earlier, my hubby is a great guy, but that doesn't mean I won't tease about him, or I am sure he has teased about me. I am 45 also, but like to think there is still a honey moon. Even if he doesn't notice if my leg is cut off

Aaarg Matey!

I think we should get "hubby" here and have him post what really happened!

:headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

lmao! I will play his part.. well I didn't worry about it because anytime she cuts herself I have to go get my glasses to even see the baby gash that she is saying requires immediate medical attention! :crazytongue:

I'm w/ you. I've got a great hubby who thankfully came home from work & took me to the ER recently or I wouldn't be here typing this tonight. We've been married 13 years & think it's funny when we're on vacation & people call us honeymooners!

That's terrible what happened last night. I hope you're lots better.

To determine if stitches are needed, look at three things:

Depth. Is the wound deep enough to see the subcutaneous tissue (yellowish fatty tissue)? If so, the wound is deep enough to get stitches, but still may not need them.

Width. Can the wound be pulled closed easily? If the wound is gaping and cannot be easily pinched closed, then it will need stitches to hold it closed long enough to heal correctly.

Location. Wounds on areas of the body that stretch and move a lot will need stitches more often than those on areas that do not move as much. For example, a wound on the forearm will not move as much as a wound on the calf, so it would not necessarily require stitches.

I have a wonderful husband too, we don't fight or anything, but that TOTALLY sounds like something he would do - just go back to sleep. MEN!!! Sorry Loren

When I first moved into the house, Michael was use to having ALL the lights off in the house except the ones upstairs for the kids room and the lighting on the stairs.

I came from the city of Richmond and there was a street light right outside my bedroom. Moving to the country was a massive change for me.

The first night, there was no moon and it was cloudy. Insert creepy music from some horror movie here

We went to bed and he was asleep within minutes. Start with the fact that I had never slept with him all night and when Michael is asleep, he's flat on his back, doesn't move and makes NO noise. Add to that, there are no sounds at all except for an occassional weird animal sound outside. I'm use to having lots of noise, even gunshots in my neighborhood. And it was BLACk in the house.

I got up to get a drink and pretty much had to grope my way through the dark out. I didn't know the layout of the house and BAM.. right into the dining room table. Let out a scream and a nasty word and the bedroom light comes on.

Hobble back to the bedroom with Michael. Get in bed and lay there.

Finally, I guess he figured out what was wrong and asked if I wanted him to leave on a few lights in the house.

The next day, he comes home from the store with a big smile... and two nightlights for me :nono:

And yes, we have them on in the house
