How to Direct Message From Facebook???

I know this might seem odd, but first time when I entered a contest on facebook that they ask me to direct message them back. Am I correct in going to their facebook page, and click up top MESSAGE. Will this be the correct way to go direct to them. Said I had 48 hrs to get back to them for furture information. Most just send me an email requesting my address, but this one different.

So did they message you {then respond} or was it from a popup/email?

How do I send a message?

To send a message:

Click Messages in the left menu.
Click New Message.
Start typing a name into the To field. Names of friends and other people you know will appear in a dropdown.
Select the person or people you want to message.
Type your message and click Send.

you are correct, I got a similar message. mine was a contest entry,(I won! well, potentially because it takes 6 weeks) They wrote me back after I sent my first direct response-and then they requested more info...(like name address *etc........... don't have the exact details- ! congrats hopefully you won!

I just went to their facebook page and hit message.

Looks like that was the right way, always learning something new. I had email from them this morning, and already replied to them requested info. Bic always has nice contests and this time the g/c as a bonus.
 
Amy my email said that Bic had responded to my post. To enter I just posted an answer to question. Then they picked 10 winners each day.

So when I clicked told me to send a direct mail. I went their facebook page and click to send a message. Then the next was an email from them asking for my mailing info.

Just a little different that what I usually get. Have won several facebook contests before, but they usually just mail the prize or send me an email.
