My husband saw gas today at 1.79... :headbang: I havent seen it that low in atleast a couple of years. I sure hope it stays that low or better yet gets lower. how low have you seen it in your area?

Not that low - close to $1.90 though. We filled up my husband's car yesterday for $21, which was amazing. I still haven't needed to add gas to my Fit (3 months since I bought it). Guess I'll try to fill it up while prices are low.

BTW, I thought you were posting about the stock market - "how low will it go?" And I'm pretty sure the answer to that question is "much lower than anyone ever thought!" Hubby's company stock has just dropped under $4 a share, from $20 in January. Guess "retirement" is a pipe dream (sigh).

GM shares are $3. I agree the stock market will go lower.

Isn't it interesting that the gas prices have gone down so low. So who does control the prices of oil? Could be those speculators.

Well, you are doing better than us - my husband's was down 35% last I checked. And I would guess y'all have much longer to make up the difference (based on the ages of your kids)!

hopefully it will get better soon. I just cringe when I see the statement. yeah we are still young enough to hopefully get it back. I figure it will be another 25-30 yrs before we can retire.. wow. that seems like a long time.
