yes i have been doing sweeps for years and i did win things two years ago but now its been a long time since i have won anything and i do a lot of sweeps daily is anyone else having the same thing happening to them hit me with your answers

i started sweeping about a year and half ago and am going through a dry spell...atleast on small prizes. I did win a TV a few months back so I feel like I can't complain. I"m only wait on 1 or 2 prizes and I never get surprises anymore. I'm sticking with it though and entering all that I can because I know it will pay off eventually. I hope.

Stick with it! You can't win if you don't enter!
 
Hello Honey....

I've been entering for almost a 1 1/2. Have not had a big one yet, but I'm always pretty lucky with other wins, lotto, bingo, etc. So I know my time WILL come as long as I stick-to-my-guns about entering. I only enter for things I REALLY want to win: cars, vacations & cash. Rarely do I enter for DVD's, concert tickets, etc. That's just my choice. I'll leave those for the people who REALLY want those type of prizes. You should think about joining us for the 2008 Sweepstake Convention being held in Texas. This really keeps us sweepers motivated and so-on. I'm waiting on a few small prizes at the moment: Koozie, Gilette Water Bottle, Orange Julious Gift Card, 3 Spooky DVDs. (These are all from Instant Wins). Last surprise win was about 3 weeks ago: Paul Mitchel Firming Hair Spray.
 
I started on September 19th of this year. I did win a couple kinda good prizes almost right off the bat - an iPOD and $50 itunes card, and a $100 check. Plus some really little things.

Been kinda dry for the last month or so though, was hoping to hear something at the beginning of this month. But I did take about 9 days off from entering in October because I had to travel for a family emergency. So that probably impacted my daily entries a lot.
 
Been sweeps for a long time, online more seriously for about a year and a half now. Still do the occasional mail in though not as much.

Best win would have to be a Bowflex, but while it is setup, hasn't gotten any use. Next best is a year of 3x @ Netflix. Gave to dad as a Xmas present last year and he just loves it. Of course, that means I might have to buy him the year this year... which I'd prefer not having to do... :)

Last win was $25 Target GC yesterday.

While I haven't been entering as much lately, I seem to be winning more frequently, or at least it feels that way for the volume of entry.

If you're in the middle of a dry spell, be sure to hit the Expiring soon list. That way you won't have to wait as long to find out if you won. Either that, or hit up the instants.... :)

Good luck and leave all the Wii prizes to me.... :)

I have been doing sweeps on and off since 2002 beginning with my now-defunct membership at The Other Site. It's been 2 days since I won.

Ha. I also like "The Other Site" epithet. Sounds kinda spooky, like that film "The Others." I bet their avatars are all b&w photos of people with their eyes closed...eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkk!

I've been sweeping a little over three years. First year I didn't keep track. Last year I won over 300 prizes. A lot of them were instant wins and one win was an all expense paid trip for four to the Bahamas. This year I have only won 41 prizes so far but a lot of them have been bigger prizes.

In the last 2 months I have won:

50,000 United Air Miles
50,000 Delta Air Miles
$25 Rite Aid Card
$25 transitions Trusted card
Mini Maglite, 2007 world Series hat, ClearWise tshirt, Disney game download and a Nascar Tshirt
 
I've been sweeping for over 2 years, at first all i won was a boyds bear pin (which I loved!) then I joined over to SA and started winning. Haven't won that big trip yet, hoping for a cruise or a trip to Disney. Also, waiting for the $10,000 dollars to come my way too. but, you can't win it if you ain't in it! Eventually , your name turns up. don't forget to enter your local contests, radio stations, local newspapers, etc. your chances are much higher in a local contest.

But Honeydue, somebody's gotta win, some time and the only way you can win is to enter. Hang in there!!
 
I signed up a while back but didnt start really sweepig till Aug 2007 and I have really won a lot but now I am beginning to expext it and get upset when nothing comes , I will back off for a while but I enter eveerything big some small trusted sweeps , just keep it up enter as many as you can and your luck will be up and down, I will post my winnings soon .
 
i have only been seriously been sweeping for 3 months but i have yet to "hit" anything , gonna give anoher 3 mon. and see where i am ... gl gl

So I stick to the sweepers credo:

Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants! IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win. If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.

The sweepers credo? Enter and forget it. Always be happy for those that win - even when they win "your" prize :laughing: - and be positive you will win.

Reminding myself of the sweepers credo is how I keep my positive attitude, and my sanity.

I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!! I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!!

Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!! :headbang:
 
I have been sweeping for a long time but, I never got serious until around 2004. I would say 95% of my wins are from instant win games. Some months I do well and others such as last month I won $51.50 worth of prizes. Still, that is great to me because, I wouldn't have these cool new things if I didn't sweep.

I started in January of this year. I rarely enter for CDs, DVDs or books as don't have the time. I enter about 240 or so a day. Once I find something I like to enter, I put it in my daily folders and play every single day. I manage to get them all entered 7 days a week and haven't missed a day yet this year. I want to go one full year and see what happens. My last win was Saturday morning, a Shaw rug, and week before that I won an XBox game from Casey's, T shirt from Doritos, Shrek Lunchbox, and an unknown Fred Claus win (shouldn't be much as very small prizes) I have also won some other nice things this year. $1085.00 set of skis, $500.00 shop spree from BlueFly which has been fun spending, a $300.00Palm XT which I haven't received yet, a very nice Panini press, gas money,etc. So far I have 65 nice wins this year so I am happy, but I put in quite a few hours entering and looking for sweeps to enter, and I am very persistent! I only enter for myself and only the legal amount. I seem to win 8 or ten things a month. Enough to keep me at it. Still waiting for a big win. Just about the time you get really down, it seems there is a win to keep going. Most of my wins have been from Instants. The skis were from a daily and the panini press was from recipe. Just keep entering and hoping and one day a nice win should come. I mostly enter my IW's quite late in the evening.
