How long between when you started sweeping and your first win?

Approximately six months, 13 years ago when there were far less sweepstakes and far less sweepers.

OMG! That was an awesome first win.
My first win was a Boyds Bear pin. Which i absolutely loved, I love Boyds Bears.

I started online 7 years ago {this month} and it took about 6 months of hard charging to break through!!!
I truly believe my attitude had to go through a major adjustment before I could win - I was super whiny and I could not understand why the same people kept posting wins all the time when I was working so hard and nada!!!
I finally realized I was sabotaging myself! So I learned to "let it go" whenever I saw someone post repeated wins on a 1phh IW sweeps, or brag they didn't smoke but nobody could tell them they weren't eligible to enter, etc.
OK, so maybe I haven't totally let that go {non-smokers} but I did figure out this was one thing where what you put into it didn't necessarily equal what you got out!

I started sweeping online in Feb 2004 and JUST won a BIGGIE at the beginning of 2010 {$10,000 GP}!!!
So I not only post, I truly believe in:
The Sweeper's Credo:
Enter and forget it.
Always be happy for those who win - even when they win "your" prize - and be positive you will win.
Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants! IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win.
If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.
I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!!
I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!!
Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!!

I started in 1979 and won a keychain and a jogging suit from Olympia Beer. I still have the keychain somewhere.

I won an instant win in my 1st 3 days of sweeping. Won a (daily) Eddie Bauer lantern after about 1 1/2 months.

I started January 2010, and after a couple weeks I won an area rug valued at $1000.00. I won a couple other prizes, but life got in the way and I stopped. I resumed this January and so far won a $500 gift certificate from Kansas City Steak Company, a Pair of Dockers, a book from Goodreads, and an invitation to a party in Hollywood. First month second time around. Doesn't take long to win if you keep at it. Good luck!

I have been sweeping since 2005. I have won lots of great stuff including 2 TV's, $20,000.00 in the Florida Lottery, $15,000.00 from Dekuyper Bump Up YOur Party Sweeps in 2006, and loads of stuff I have given as gifts to various friends and family. I took a little time off sweeping for about a year in 2009 but have resumed in full force. Lots of little wins this year but I feel the next big one is just around the corner. Been doing this sweeps thing for two years on sweeps advantage, haven't seen anything yet, but I enter and forget about it and enter all different ones. Would like to see some kind of win one of these day but maybe the luck of these few that win all the time might come my way some how.
