How does this site compare

I've mainly used online-sweepstakes.com before to enter the contests/sweepstakes. I know that they have their premium sweeps.

How does this site compare? Are there contests that only OLS has that this website does not?

well for one this site is FREE. SA offers separate categories for dvd, CD and those Blogs(not like that at the other place) that some people dont like. SA has just as many sweeps as the other place it just doesnt charge you to see them and be able to enter them.

It has really great sweeping tools as well.
notes~ which is unavailable at the other site.
sweepscheck
sweepspop~~ http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/smf/new-advanced-options-feature-sweepspop-t50050.0.html

A admin who works very hard and actually listens to and responds to members. all in all a much better sweeping experience and its FREE!

Im sure there are other tools as well im just drawing a blank right now.. maybe wolfie will come to the rescue.. oh that reminds me. A very helpful and friendly forum.

ETA~~ http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/smf/...get-the-most-out-of-sa-features-t31956.0.html check out this thread for tools available to SA members.

I used to be a member over there (since 2002) until I got banned for being a thorn in their side.

We have all the same sweepstakes here, and then some, for "FREE".

Members here are much nicer and kinder towards each other. Over there, it comes down to being cut throats at times.

Banning someone here just because they don't agree with them isn't an option like it is over there. Banning only occurs in extreme cases which are rare and far between.

The webmaster here knows what he is doing when it come to upgrades, updates, and incorporating members' suggestions for the site. The webmaster over there doesn't have a clue as to what he is doing.

For me there is no comparison. SA is FREE and with the economy being so tight these days FREE is good. Admin is always available when you need help and as for the sweeps they are pretty much the same because I know someone who sweeps at the other site and we compare the sweeps just to see what we have. I used to be a member there and just didn't get the premium thing. Why do some members have to pay for what SA offers for FREE.

I really do love SA and would never pay for sweeps again.

I've mainly used zzz before to enter the contests/sweepstakes. I know that they have their premium sweeps.

How does this site compare? Are there contests that only zzz has that this website does not?

First welcome to SA! This is a great place to sweep with all the essential sweeping tools. The only contests that zzz would have that isn't here would be contests that they sponsor for their members. The premium sweeps that you pay to get at zzz are FREE here!
Don't be afraid to ask questions. Members here are only to happy to help.

And there is the mysterious and unexplained "instant win thing"-coming over here to do instants somehow results in more wins. There are people over there who come over here do to their instants just because they've noticed this odd phenomena. It may just be some sort of quirk of probability...

Welcome to SA! Sponsors post all kinds of sweeps on the web and all sweep sites have access to the same ones. You may see slight differences in the collections, but all sweep sites draw from the same pool. It is in other areas that you'll see one site distinguish itself above another.

* SA is a free site.

* Each site is organized differently. If you are used to one layout, adjusting to a new format may be a little jarring until you get used to it.

* Customer service. The Admin at SA is on the site every day and appreciates feedback. He is always looking to make the site better and will listen to, and implement, suggestions.

* Personality of the forum. The SA sweepers are supportive and helpful. We aren't into drama, infighting, or salty language.

* SA has site-specific tools to help you organize and speed up your sweeping. Other sites have their own versions, but we're pretty proud of ours, and they just keep getting better.

Please take a look around and don't hesitate to ask questions. We think you'll like it here!

Welcome to SA!

Many of our sweepers have swept at both sites.

We pretty much have the same sweepstakes listed. Our editors do a phenominal job.

What makes SA stand above the other site you mentioned are the sweepscheck, notes, reminders features as well as the separate categories.

The sweepscheck feature helps you keep track of what sweeps you have already looked at. I use it to tell me what I have looked at and decided not to enter or have already entered. When doing my expiring, if the box is checked, I can just zoom right by it and not worry because I have already taken action on that sweep.

The notes feature allows you to post upc numbers, times entered (for 24 hour entries) or anything else you may want to remember.

The reminders can be used to send you an e-mail of your favorite sweeps you want to enter when in a rush. Or to remind you to check a winners list.

The separate categories make entering much more efficient. It isolates instants from dailies so if you are pressed for time you can enter just one category. It also puts blogs, DVDs and CDs in their own categories.

If you are a user of the Shazam feature at the other site, you will love our sweepspop. It serves a similar purpose but is far more advanced. You can actually choose which sweeps you want to open manually or by pop. I open the flash forms manually. Then, I whip right through the regular ones with my roboform pro. It cuts my entry time in 1/2 and, unlike Shazam, I don't have a problem with getting page cannot be displayed error messages.

The one thing I would like to say is that it will take a little while to learn the site and adjust to it. Once you do, I think you will see how much more organzied SA is. The tools are far and above anything you will find anywhere else.

Please let us know if you have any other questions. We are always happy to help new members adjust to sweeping here.

Best of luck to you where ever you end up sweeping.

A side by side comparison can be best done by you since you recently came from there, but from what I remember, their "booster club" will attempt to convince you that their site and admin are better than ours. I'm sure you will soon conclude that that is false, since as gsw notes, our admin actually listens to us, and appreciates feedback, not to mention, he usually will quickly implement our ideas!!! :headbang:

Our forums are different too, in that we are supportive of each other , rather than always on the lookout to bring others down :nono:

As trace {3mnkids1} notes, there is a thread that outlines the TOOLS and how to get the most out of them:

How to use the *TOOLS* to get the most out of SA Features
http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/smf/...get-the-most-out-of-sa-features-t31956.0.html

And if you still have questions, we are always glad to help out! :sunny:

Once you get used to the different layout, you'll wish you'd switched sooner!!!

Hi mz6877! Welcome to SA!

Most of the major difference have been covered above, but I want to mention one other thing really fast to you ~ at the bottom of the page you will see a listing of who is online at the time that you are. The ones that are listed in black are the moderators that are online at the time. Please feel free to come to us with any question at anytime also! We don't mind a bit.

I have heard that they play favorites over at the other site, and you won't find that here. We try to be fair to everyone. We want this to be the best place that you can come to sweep at on a daily basis!

The only thing missing from over there ~ big banner saying that upgrades are coming soon and your lighter wallet!! Hope you will stick around with us!

 I just don't understand why everyone picks on me?

psst, mz6877 My favorite is Milk Chocolate! :headbang: :hiding:

Both sites have good sweeps and good people, and it's a matter of personal choice. This site really does have a better relationship between the admin and people who are members. There's no lack of responsiveness from the management here, and updates are implemented regularly.

What this site lacks is a clique of cultish "sweeping girl gangs" who will jump down your throat at the least whiff of site or admin criticism. (Just ask for what you want, and Ken will tell you if it can be done.)

It also lacks for people who will jump down your throat if there's discussion that goes into things such as rules bending. (Mods here will take a hands-off approach, and tell you it's not their responsibility OR YOURS to police sweepers. Sponsors are pretty good at catching cheaters.)

Lacking the above drama, we're serious about sweeping here, and the sweeps are pretty much the same. Blogs are sorted into their own category, so you can look at them or not and get your sweeps done faster here.

Good luck.
