How do Instant Wins Work? Are they worth the effort?

Hi Everyone,

If you could refer me to some instant win games that actually award prizes, I would be grateful. I signed yp for the sears, and winston salem, but never win anything instantly! What tips/luck have you all had with instant wins? Any particular games I should seriously check out?

I started sweeping in 2011 and for the most part, I primarily enter instant wins. The first 3 or 4 years, I won pretty consistently. Since then, not so much. I think there are fewer "quality" instants and probably more competition (more people entering). I used to have 90+ instants per day to enter - now, I'm barely hitting 30. My first couple years, I won $5000-$6000 worth of prizes. Haven't seen that level since. And yes, they do actually award prizes!
 
Hiya thacher86 - IW games *usually* have random computer generated times;

IW rules will have some variation of: "...random, computer generated times..."

Once you've logged in, if you enter at the [random, computer-generated winning time] then the game doesn't matter - win/loss usually already determined

most IW games have "click here if you can't see the game" links so the game is just for show & doesn't matter

HOWEVER

I've won after being told on an IW game that I had lost so check your email JIC

If I'm told I DID win?

My rule of thumb? It isn't a win until I get an email/receive the prize

i have only been sweeping for a couple of months. The first day i started i won 4 baseball tickets to a local minor league baseball team from the instant all start crayola - so try them! I got the email and it came in a envelope a month later! So i'm thinking the instant win might be a good thing :)
