It's amazing how much slower your computer can get just by either updating windows or upgrading software. Many windows programs when you update them create temporary files and folders while they update. After the update is finished these temporary files are left behind. If you are running Microsoft Windows you can do an easy cleanup of your temp files that takes a couple minutes and is free. Here is how you can do this.
1. Go to your Windows search box near your start button and type "%temp% and Enter.
2. This will bring up a Explorer window with all your temporary files.
3. Select all these files and folders and Delete them.
*You may encounter a pop-up or 2 stating some files and "in use" and cannot be deleted. Just click skip for each one
of these prompts.
In my experience this has cleaned up several Gigabyte worth of temp files. Windows can use this extra free space to create a bigger swap or page file which will in tern make your system faster.
Hope this help you. Maybe enter sweepstakes faster. I'll soon be posting another tip to make your Windows computer faster. Good Luck!
