Has anyone every used that chalkboard paint? I thought it would be neat to use on my kids closet doors. They are normal wood sliding doors. Should I prime or sand first? Does it work well? Thanks!
normally sanding is always first then prime then paint. And that is for a good job most walls you can paint right over but you have to make sure the paint is compatible.
We used it...but, we hung a piece of that OSB (correct for high density?) board and put a frame with a shelf underneath to hold the chalk on the wall...that way, no worry about painting over and take with after or just remove when kids out grow.
Even i think you should first sand and then prime. Kids will really enjoy drawing on chalkboard paints. Metallic paint idea given by Wolfie is really nice. I loved that idea personally.
