I've noticed that when I click on a sweep and play it no longer highlights it or turns the thread a different color. Is this a result of the new enhancements or just my computer??

Mine still works. Color changes from blue to purple.

It's a nifty feature. I'd sure miss it if it disappeared.

I sure miss spellcheck.

Perhaps one day it'll magically reappear, eh?

Does anyone know what I need to do to get highlighting back? It highlights on Craigslist so I don't think it's something on the computer itself.Maybe some setting I don't know about. It actually does change color at the moment I click on it,but when I'm done with the sweep ,it's still blue instead of pink.Sometimes I lose my place if I get up and do something. If anyone has an answer, please help!! Thanks!!

kcharlton AFAIK, that's a HISTORY setting on your comp:

Q:
links I've clicked on no longer show as highlighted
Using Vista sp2, IE 8. I tried IE 9 for a couple weeks but switched back to 8 last night because of problems with Abobe player and reader. While using 9, the highlighting of links that I had clicked on stopped (and hasn't returned.) For example, I frequently use farm and garden section of craigslist. Items that I had clicked on used to show up as red afterward, now are blue just like all the others. Is there anyway to get the old highlighting ability back? It went away about the time I installed sp2, but probably not related. Highlighting still works when I use Firefox.

Hi,

Check Internet Options> General> Colors. If "Use Windows colors" is unchecked and the colors for Visited and Unvisited are different, leave it that way.

Corruption in the History folder can cause this condition. From Internet Options> General > Browsing History> Delete (next screen) uncheck Preserve Favorites website data then check and delete History and (optional but can't hurt) Temporary Internet Files. Restart the computer.

If clearing the history didn't resolve the issue. use this free program to clear any remaining history items.
IEHistoryView IE HistoryView: Freeware Internet Explorer History Viewer

Hope this helps,
Don
