I have been sweeping with SA for a few months now. I havw read all the advice on the best ways to win. So far I have won twice on instant wins, a tank top and shrek flash light and tshirt. My questions are
1. how long did it take for you to win bigger items?

2. how long does it takes to get the wins the shrek one emailed me and it just said the items will be sent at the end of the sweep and I would receive it 6-8 weeks afterwards. Now the rules say I will receive info about verification, the email they sent me did not say anything about that. Do you have to "sign" for all prizes or just bigger ones?
 
1. Depends on how you define "bigger." You may win quickly, slowly or not at all, depending on your luck and how much you enter.
2. Depends on the sponsor. Some are mailed out quickly, slowly and some just show up at your door unannounced. A few expect you to sign, but that's the exception. Most just drop and run.

After I started entering, it took 10 months before I hit a big prize. I was lucky. I won two grand prizes on the same day.

Honestly, I think you are doing great. It took 4 months for me to win anything at all. Some people a lot longer. Last year was a very slow year for me. I think, all together, I won about 7 prizes. I had a good January and nothing so far in February. I am very, very selective in what I enter, so I don't expect too win much.

I hope you have a big win really soon. While you wait, here is some of the best advice I have received:

To quote the SA sweeping guru, Amyshulk, "Sweeping is about patience and persistence. Enter it and Forget it. And, most importantly, be happy for those that win even if they win your prize!"

Just one more question though: How many sweepstakes do you enter on a daily or weekly basis?
I have about 40 dailies and 35 IW saved that I do every day then I check out the new ones for the day. I also do alot od the classic heartland ones, are they any good?
 
I average around 400 a day. I like classic heartland. Dont hear about too many winners but the form is so easy to enter. takes no time to get thru them all. When more sweeps are added I will do aroun 500 I hope.. not to many good ones right now.
 
I do all the classic heartland ones. I have 93 dailies, 12 24 hour entries, 38 instants, 6 weekly and 5 monthly. Then I enter expiring and new every day. I try to keep it around 150 on the daily type entries. It's all I can manage with work. In the summer I cut that back too because business is really crazy then.

Enter for what you want to win. I only have a limited time, so I focus on the prizes I really want. I win my fair share. I also go through lengthy dry spells. But, I know I have to be in it to win it. Be patient. Your time will come.

You may never win a "big" one. Maybe just lots of small ones. :sunny:
 
I have only been playing since November and have figured some things out that work for me as I went along. Everyday I enter the instants. Then I enter the new sweeps that I want and check the expiring ones that I may have missed. Once a week I enter the weekly and once a month I enter the monthly. I went through all the back ones of the one entry and daily so I am current. I just one a grand prize trip on Friday and have had a lot of other wins about 300-500 a month. But I am a homemaker so I think not everyone has as much time on their hands as me- if you have to work outside the home.
