Hello & Opinion Needed

Hi, this is my second attempt to do sweeps. I got a bit overwhelmed on the first go 'round, so this is my second try. I am a hardcore freebie addict, so this is sort of natural progression IMHO, just more work! Anyway, opinion needed:

Do you think it is necessary to "Opt In" for emails for ever sweeps you enter. I did that previously and had so much junk mail that I was never able to sort my email enough to see if I had won anything.

You have to keep in mind that rules are as legally binding as a contract and have to be worded precisely, clearly, and outline what is and/or isn't required for entry and winning (although I've seen a lot of badly written ones with poor grammar and punctuation). There are also laws and regulations governing the running of a sweepstakes/contests in each state that the sponsor must abide by.

:wave: Welcome to our group of sweepers! I usually tell my friends when they are just starting out, to start out slowly until you feel comfortable or they may becomed overwhelmed.
You don't have to opt in most cases. Although some websites have giveaways just for people subscribing to their newsletter.
