Hate to fly....

I have entered sweepstakes off and on and am always hopeful to win a "big one"... my dream is Disney. However... I absolutely hate to fly! I wondered if anyone else has come across this concern and what do you do if you win a trip and are willing to drive to the location ??

It would be heartbreaking to win and then have to forgo an amazing trip if I can't get my butt on an airplane!
 
I guess no one's got the fear as bad as I do ... I was hoping someone had some insight for me.

Do they ever allow you to take a cash payment instead of a trip if it doesn't suit you?

It does happen, but it's rare.

Rule of thumb I use {can't fly due to disability} is to check rules for the word LIEU. If they will give cash in lieu, I'll enter, otherwise, I'll pass.

Promos with trips are usually sponsor specific - and it's common for multiple sponsors to run a single promo where they contribute a portion of the prize - so they are looking for a winner that will enjoy/look forward to the trip.
