Has anyone actually had a good experience with these magazine sweepstakes now that they make up 50% of the new sweepstakes list? Or are they just paying a decent amount of money to be up on here?
 
Well, my second win was from a magazine entry, but I've accidentally ordered 2 mags I didn't want & now have to deal with the bills when they come in, so, no, overall, not so great. I don't do the mags anymore. Too much hassle.
 
I won from Woman's Day and Madberries last year, once each, not huge but nice and without any snags.
 
I won a 300 dockers card a few months back from men's health.
I do find myself accidentally submitting to soon and having to cancel a subscription or two.
 
So small wins, nothing large like advertised most the time. Yeah, think its within my best interests to avoid them. I just wanted to make sure nobody had made an astounding win on one.
 
I suppose you could do a search for particular magazines to see if any major wins were posted, and you probably wouldn't want to make a decision based on just the three replies above...but, yes, for the time you spend entering it is probably not worth the effort as so many people enter magazine sweeps. There is no real formula to give us an answer, just opinions and attitudes. Usually, I like the (flawed) optimism in "If you don't enter, you can't win," but that is not the whole story.

I think it would be wise to get @ least one entry in as you never know especially if there are a few prizes involved , I have won a watch from a magazine sweep so they do give out prizes and someone is going to win the big one, but you can't win if you aren't even in it.So putting 1 entry in just gives you the possibility.
 
I did win a decent prize from a magazine called "Cookie" ( I had never heard of it before). The prize was a 7 night stay at any Westin Hotel worldwide.
 
I won a BIG Buddha purse/clutch from Lucky Magazine! Oh La La! :crazytongue: $120 value

(of course that is the only magazine thing in 3 years.)
