Has anyone made cake pops?

I am thinking about getting a cake pop machine soon. They are so cute, I want to try making them, but I don't want to mess up, get the wrong machine or do something wrong in the process.

I have looked at a few machines but I can't tell which is good just from looking. There is some price variation also.

Any tips from your experience? Machine recommendation, recipe tweaks etc.?

Thanks!

i have tried both the cake pop baknig pan and the machine. the machine burns the cake it gets too hot! there is no setting control for it. The pan works great but cok on 300 in oven and use only a small amount of batter or you will end up with a mess! when you get the hang of baking them, using any kind of cake mix they yurn out great! lots of ideas of decorating online! have fun and enjoy, but remember it takes a little time to make anything!. they are really fun to work with! even can use for your own recipes like strabberry shortcake! think outside the box! have fun!

Wow, thanks, that's exactly the kind of advice I was hoping to get. So, the pans work better, but only a small amount of batter at 300 degrees. That is really a low setting!

There are so many adorable ways to decorate the pops. I really want to give it a try.
