grrrrrrrrrrrr cox!!!

All month we've had outages or it was so sloooooooooooooow I thought we were back on dial-up - eeeek!!! :cry:

We got a letter stating that there were be "possible" outages from the 10th to the 14th, OR from the 17th to the 21st.

Last night, after already missing 2 days on entering, it started up again!!! I called them (again :nono: ) and she implied it was our router causing all the problems - which made NO sense :scratch:

It came back up, died again, so i called and told them flat out I wanted to just complain - no "helping" this time!!!

Well, when I told him it had been going on all month, he told me not 20 minutes before I called, another guy from LV called to say he'd had this problem since JUNE - yes, I said JUNE!!! :nono:

Now I'm thinking we are doomed, but, I finally had someone who actually listened to me - what a shock!!! :laughing:

It seemed to me if they had planned outages, and such slow service (especially when we are used to their fastest speed) that they must be installing new nodes - and yep, he was able to confirm, YAY!!!

So... if anyone has been wondering why I haven't been around like usual, it's all coxs' fault!!! :error: :laughing:
 
Geez - I added 1 sweeps - yes, ONE - and I lost connection again!!! :nono: :cussing:

So... I caught up on shows I DVR'ed, slept, and woke up and Bobby (my son) told me it had been in and out since 2 pm so I called and they are FINALLY sending a tech out - on Saturday :headbang:

This is soooooooooo frustrating!!! I think i entered my sweeps once this week, and now I'm praying it doesn't go out while I've been hunting and pecking to type this!!! :laughing:
 
I would be livid. :cussing: Those few days I went without internet awhile back almost drove me crazy. :crazytongue: I hope they get it fixed soon. If you are like me you will atleast get alot done around the house. I organized everything. :laughing: good luck and I hope you are back on and sweeping very soon.

I'm having a bad month, health-wise, so I'm more resigned to things going badly right now :cry: :nono:

Right after I posted earlier, it went out again - it's finally back up and I have to get ready for a Dr's appt soon, so no idea if I'll even get a chance to enter today.

Oh well... NEXT!!! :headbang:

btw - good thing I got in the habit of C&P'ing what I write - it went out again when I went to post this!!! :nono:

Arrrrrrrrrrrgh - I give - 3d times a charm maybe???
 
Wow! you are not having a easy time. I hope you start feeling better. hopefully you will be feeling better and back online in no time.

I talked to customer service finally - my schedule had me asleep when they were open - and she's comping for the bad service, and cut me a deal on a new Modem. Turns out my open appt for today was NOT scheduled, so I have one for Sunday.

The Modem should be here today, and if it IS the problem, it will be resolved, YAY!!!

I shut everything down for about 5 hours yesterday, and when I brought it all back online, we haven't had a problem? :scratch: So maybe it was our modem the whole time, and after 5 years of almost always being on, it needed a rest??? :scratch: :crazytongue:

I'm just sooooooooo glad I can do something without being afraid it will cut out on me!!! :headbang:
 
:sunny: So happy to hear that you are finally getting some resolutions on your internet problems. Sounds like you needed the rest anyway. Take care Amy and don't let the internet problems stress you out too much.
