Great Customer Service Feels Like A Sweepstakes Win

My four year old is a big fan of the PBS children's show Big Green Rabbit. Last month I purchased an episode from the show and had problems with the download. I contacted customer service and (unexpectantly) because of the inconvenience they are providing: a store credit for a download, and free t-shirts for the kids.

I never let Great Customer Service go unappreciated and whoopee for the Download and T-shirts, comparable to any sweepstakes, instant win.

Here is a copy of the email that I received:

I wanted to check in and see if you are now able to download the episode Moo La La, I went ahead and added a store credit in that amount so you are able to choose another episode, or equal value of other downloads.

I was forced to change your login password to do this - your password as it stands now is "" but I can change that to whatever you decide, or allow you to re-create your customer information profile if you would rather do that. Please let me know.

I am sure that the download is available, and that you have now in addition additional store credit to use on another episode of your choice.

To download the file - go to www.biggreenrabbitstore.com and then click "Customer Service" at the bottom. This will bring you to another page that will have several choices - one of them is "Download Product Files" click this link and your download will be on the next page.

Please allow me to apologize for any inconvenience or trouble. I would love to send each of your children a BIG GREEN RABBIT T-shirt in the appropriate size for them. What are their ages? I would love to send out a shirt for each of them.

:sunny: Now that is some great customer service! I love hearing these type of stories. When I make a phone call for customer service and the person I have talked to gives me good customer service, I always ask to speak to their supervisor when they are finished so that I can tell them what a great job their employee is doing! Having been a customer service rep for many years, I know this goes in their employee file and can potentially get them a raise.

Kudos to Mcdonald's! I always stop by for coffee at McDonald's (love their coffee!) whenever I visit the Mall. Lately, the service has been awful. They've had a skeleton crew with one register open. The wait on line is about 10 to 15 minutes. I emailed them with my complaint. They immediately emailed back and I received a call from them within two days. They were apologetic and the next day I received a free coupon for a Value Meal. That is great customer service!
