I am so excited. Since we live in Florida, this is only a 1 1/2 hr drive for us. I have been trying to win a beach getaway vacation for about 6 months now. They processed this really quick. I was just notified yesterday, sent the affadavit back right away via e-mail, she mailed out the certificate yesterday certified mail. We will be taking the vacation in Oct. or November depending on availability. Yeahhhh!!!
 
Wonderful!! I have been entering the vacationfun.com sweeps that are within a reasonable driving distance from us as well (since it does not include fight and we love road-trips). I hope you have a fantastic time!! =)

There are strings. I no longer enter Vacation 4 fun stuff. But if you are willing to pay all the charges, knock yourself out! Congrats!
 
What "strings" are there besides paying the taxes on the win? The affadavit didn't say anything about any other charges.
 
This trip is turning out awesome! The Bungalow Beach Resort on Anna Maria Island offered me any one of their 15 beach bungalows which are steps from the beach. These rooms rent off season for $389 per night and in-season over $500 per night. We are staying 3 nights. Included as part of the prize are the room taxes so other than the IRS taxes (which are normal on prizes over $600) we will pay nothing. We are thrilled.
