WHAT'S UP WITH GOOD HOUSEKEEPING? EVERYTIME I ENTER A CONTEST, IT ASK IF YOU WANT TO SUBSCRIBE, AND IF YOU SAY NO, IT SUBSCRIBES YOU ANYWAY! :cussing: THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE, BUT I HAD FORGOTTEN AS I HADN'T DONE THEM FOR A WHILE. IT AMAZES ME THE PLOYS PEOPLE CAN GET AWAY WITH.

If you read the entry form, it gives you a link to click on to go to the non-subscription form.

This is what it says on the entry form on the subscription part:

If you like what you see, you'll get 11 more issues (12 in all) for just $7.97 — that's 73% less than others pay on the newsstand.* If not, return the bill marked "cancel" and keep the first issue with no obligation. You'll still be eligible to win the sweepstakes.

No purchase is necessary to enter. If you'd prefer to enter the sweepstakes without starting a trial subscription to Good Housekeeping or if you are already a subscriber, click here.

I have had the same problem even though I absolutely made sure that I hit the right box not to subscribe. I have had a lot of problems with the hearst magazine sweeps. You usually can't cancel online either until about a week after subscribing. They're a real pain.

when you click on a good housekeeping contest link, it's not the contest entry form that pops up first, it's a subscription form, you think your filling out a contest entry, but really your filling out the subscription form, what they do is very sneaky...
on the good housekeeping contests, before you fill them out, look for the contest entry link. don't fill out the first form that pops up.
