When you post in Freebies, you can ask the person who uses the code to post when it is taken. Hopefully, they will (and will thank you too!).

When the forum moderators see that someone has replied that they used the code, we update the title of your thread to begin with *Taken*

...this is the ideal...but if people use a code and don't post that they did, then we don't know! Common courtesy, right? :)
