Free Product coupons??

Does anyone know a retailer who still accepts these?? I had no trouble until recently when we tried to use an excedrin one and now I have Vitamin Water and Free popcorn to use.

I don't have trouble with them at Kroger. Recently I took all the ones I had and used them. I bought stuff I didn't have coupons for too. My bill would have been over $100, but with all my coupons I only paid about $50 in money, the rest was free stuff.

Whenever I have a problem with free product coupons, I email the markets headquarters and explain the problem to them. Recently I received 26 coupons for free Kemps Ice Cream that my local store would not accepts. The HQ contacted the store's manager and told him it was OK to take the coupons. Not only did I get my free products, I also got a $10 gift card for the store for my trouble.

You shouldnt have trouble with these anywhere, because they are not internet printables. Some stores think they are ,but they dont look at them close enough to realize they arent. They are very good at jumping the gun, and saying sorry we cant take this because its for a free product, and thinking it was from the internet. Or they are just jealous that you are getting something for free, and they arent. If you flip the coupon over it is printed usually on special paper with markings on it. Also you might want to leave the coupon attached to the paper it came on instead of clipping it. Then they can see this was mailed to you. If you have a Walgreens by you, i didnt have any trouble witht the excedrin coupon. I used my vitamin water coupon at Jewel food store with no trouble. Hope that helps you.

Thank you...I will try Target next and see what happens. We've tried Shoprite and Acme and had NO problems until a couple weeks ago when they just said they NO longer will accept free product coupons anymore. If I have trouble with the next place I will contact the markets headquarters.

 I use free product coupons all the time at the local Kroger here. Also, Wal-Mart should take them, according to their coupon policy. I just received over $100 in value of free NED product coupons today. These coupons are all for totally free items. The kicker? All these free product coupons are not only NED (No Expiration Date), but they are old. Some of these free product coupons date back to the late 1980s and early '90s! :crazytongue:

It will be interesting to see how many of these coupons I can use during my next store visit. I will have to work my "magic" with just the right cashier. Picking the right cashier is very important when you want to use difficult coupons. I find that young guys are the best cashiers, because these boys don't usually take the time to mess with the coupons too long...they'll just scan them or enter them into the cash register and move on. Also, try to catch the store at a busy time.

I've had really great experience with Target lately using coupons of all kinds...internet/non-internet, free/large amounts off with overage etc. They have their coupon policy on their website which i do recommend printing and bringing with you but so far I've never had to pull it out!

Walmart would not accept my coupons for my Curly's BBQ that I won. I had the complete letter with coupon and they still refused.

If there is ever a problem with any retailer, contact corporate customer service about it.

After another type of problem with our local Wal-Mart, I contacted the company and let them know what happened so that they could straighten out the situation with the store.

They also emailed me their coupon policy which I now carry with me always in case there is ever another problem. Don't assume for a minute that all because someone is a manager or supervisor they actually know what they are doing. Always contact the retailer when you encounter a problem. :headbang:

Wal-Mart's coupon policy is:

"Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding the acceptance of coupons at Wal-Mart. Our guidelines generally allow for the following types of coupons to be accepted:

- manufacturer coupons (cents off)

- free merchandise (or manufacturer's buy-one-get-one-free) coupons

- store coupons

- internet coupons

- soft drink container caps

A salaried manager may refuse to accept a coupon if it does not meet certain criteria.

Coupon guidelines and limits include, but are not limited to the following:

Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase. Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons or double/triple coupons. Internet coupons should be legible and say 'manufacturer coupon', and there should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and scannable bar code. Store coupons must reflect a specific sale price or original price and must be available to all customers. For 'free' merchandise coupons, customers will not receive cash back--the cashier will adjust the value of the coupon to the actual retail of the item at the time of sale. In addition, only one coupon per item is permitted and use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by a Customer Service Manager.

Sincerely,

Wal-Mart Customer Care"
