food network sweep

I just entered a food network sweepstakes and when I clicked enter it said thank you for your subscription order we will bill you etc. no where on the page did it say I was signing up for a subscription, this seems very deceptive. Has this happened to anyone else? I will be calling customer service to cancel because I am not paying for something I didn't want or expect.

Sponsors are very sneaky about this. You have to read all the fine print before you hit enter. I've had to cancel more then one magazine subscription - including Readers Digest and Rachel Ray. What a pain. Sorry it happened to you.

When the bill comes, I just write CANCEL on it, and that's always been the end of it for me. Plus, I end up with a free issue or two to read before they catch up with the cancellation.
