Not a sweepstakes but I had to share......about 4 years ago I was a contestant on Wheel of Fortune and did pretty well. Yesterday I bought a $5 scratch off ticket with a Wheel of Fortune theme(I normally am not a scratch off fan). Well, I was in disbelief when I saw a $1000 win!! After work today will be heading to the lottery office to cash in!!

lol - Wheel of Fortune contestant? I'd freeze up & probably kill my back!!!

Awesome, congrats on your FL lottery win!! Your right up the road, what store did you buy it from??
 
I did freeze up when I was on the show.....could have done better but it was an awesome experience. And I bought my ticket from the Shell near Markham Park, right across the street
 
Did you have to audition? Back in the early 80's I auditioned when they were thinking of bringing CONCENTRATION back - I kicked my opponents butt but he got the call back because personality? I was too competitive I guess :p

Yeah, there was an audition for WOF, and I nailed it!! They also liked that I am a teacher, so I was on Teacher's Week in 2012. The audition was 3 stages, first timed puzzles for about 300 people, then they narrowed it down to about 25. They had a simulated game to show your personality as you played. Then it was down to 5 that got a more in depth interview. I got the call about 2 months later that I was selected, and the taping was 3 weeks after that!!
 
That is so cool! And BIG props to you for being a teacher :cool:

I briefly considered the teaching field but I didn't have enough patience or the discipline to teach! :o
