Feelings about sweeps that exclude "giveaway accounts" and "pro-sweepers"
I've only encountered this exclusion once, but am wondering if it is going to become something we see increasingly often. A few days ago I encountered it in the comments of this reddiyeti sweeps: Please login and in this related post: http://www.sweepstakesplus.com/foru...3-all-sweeper-accounts-will-disqualified.html
I can understand why sponsors would dislike the idea of people who sweep as a hobby, since they are using the giveaway to drive traffic to their site and business and they want "enthusiasts" who will buy/use their product/service. I remember worrying/thinking about this kind of thing when I was a newbie to this hobby (6 years ago). I read some posts on here that made me feel better about it and offered tips about ways to help out the sponsor, IIRC. If I come across a product or business that might be of interest to me or someone I know, I DO spend a bit of time looking around on their site or social media page, and I have stayed subscribed to some email lists that were appealing. I guess I'm just feeling conflicted, as this type of exclusion seems to imply that there is something bad or improper about this hobby, and I don't like being thought of in that way. I'm wondering what my fellow SA peeps think?
